Shriners Hospitals for Children — Honolulu and Calypso St. Barth team up to #CutTheBull

Children with physical disabilities are twice as likely to be bullied, impacting their educational, physical and emotional development.* In support of National Bullying Prevention Month this October, the Honolulu Shriners Hospital and Calypso St. Barth are joining forces to #CutTheBull.

On October 17, a fundraising fashion event will be hosted at the store from 1–3 p.m. to raise awareness of the challenges faced by children with disabilities. Shoppers will be able to enjoy a 10 percent discount and support Shriners Hospitals for Children. Ten percent of sales will go towards Shriners Hospitals’ life-transforming care, which have transformed the lives of patients such as patient ambassador, Alyshia Shimizu who survived flesh-eating disease and endured bullying.

From 1–1:30pm, several of our patient ambassadors will be joined by celebrity models, Denby, Darah and Dana Dung and Honolulu’s Style and Soiree expert, Lance Rae in a fashion show at the store at Royal Hawaiian Center in Waikiki. Be sure to check our kids and support them.

The Honolulu Shriners Hospital will be on Hawaii News Now on Monday, October 12 at 7:40 a.m. to talk about this event.
