Servco Pacific donated $250,000 to 10 non-profits today including the Honolulu Shriners Hospital. Each non-profit received $25,000!! 500 charities were nominated from 4,500 essays from the community and Servco chose patient ambassador, Alyshia Shimizu’s essay as the winner for Shriners. Her story of overcoming flesh-eating disease and bullying to become a beauty queen and anti-bullying advocate captured everyone’s hearts. Hospital CEO and administrator, John White, said the money will be used to kick-start fundraising for a first in Hawaii ultra low radiation EOS Imaging 3D x-ray system.
